Business as usual

Two years ago Matter appointed a like minded RIBA National Award Winning architects practice Stonewood Architects to help reimagine our current studio to reflect and embody our design process in a new functional space. This exciting expansion will see our workspace double allowing us to bring to life all aspects of our work in one creative space to co-create with clients, collaborators and like minded creatives.

Upstairs the renovations will create a more useable space for the design team, including project areas, user research facilities, photographic studio, project archive, and a place to make a good brew. Downstairs we will be renovating our workshop and prototyping facilities, introducing downstairs shower facilities, bike storage, a canteen and creating a large, dedicated client space for hosting meetings and creative workshops.

the studio will be open for business as usual

Now, a very challenging two years on the bulldozers are about to move in! So for those who are scheduled to visit and those who have never - the studio will be open for business as usual but you may experience a little more disruption and ‘mess’ than usual over the coming months as we remain in the building through out the work.

Exciting times and big thanks to Adam and his team at Stonewood for the patience, challenges and creative reaction to our brief that we know will inspire and be appreciate by all who enjoy it.

Once complete we will be hiring out the space for creative workshops, book launches, product demonstrations and speakers, after all it would be a little selfish to keep it all to ourselves.

Fancy relocating to the Mews?

We are looking for a complementary design company to move in to a studio next door also as part of the phased work. Interested?
